Store Series S-2

The CTC S-2 Series Store Coupons were issued in 1972 to commemorate 50 years of service (1922-1972). JW Billis purchased Hamilton Garage & Rubber in 1922.

This series had a relatively short life as the corner denominators were printed with coloured numbers on a coloured background, and were deemed hard to read by the cashiers. The coloured numbers were replaced by black printing and re-issued as the
S-3 series.

This series has no plate date.

Pictured on the reverse is Store #264, Sheppard Avenue, Toronto with Pit Stop and Garage.
